They need better quality control.

This is the second case. The first came with 6 screws to hold the case together, only 5 had screw heads, 1 was only threaded, more like a pin. Since the fan didn't work, I sent everything back. The fan seems to be an issue as there are several reviews stating the fan is not working. This is a fallback case. The fan didn't work again. I took a closer look and found that the polarity on the connector was reversed, I swapped the connector and plugged it in upside down and the fan works. This isn't

A well designed case that makes Stratux a professional aviation product.

My first custom Stratux case. Looks very well designed and makes the portable Stratux a clean professional tool. The included tools feel nice and make assembly a lot easier. Please note that after assembly there is no access to USB ports. If you're using a remote GPS, you can plug it in and thread the cable through a small hole in the case to permanently connect it. If like me you want to remove all components and also mount remotely (mainly due to power or battery requirements), I recommend…

Pros
  • For use with Raspberry Pi 2 and 3.
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide.

Nice case with some caveats

This is probably the best case for the Stratux - it's quite small (smaller than others I've seen at least) and everything fits just right. It also comes with all the tools you need to assemble it, which is a nice touch. It's a little tricky to route the antenna cables correctly, but it's not too bad. When assembled, the case makes a pretty solid impression. The only major gripe I have is that it's almost impossible to tighten the antenna mounts enough that they don't move when you try to…

including tools and hardware

There's a funny story why I got this case, but I won't tell it here. I had an older Stratux case with Plexiglas panels glued together. The antenna connectors are on the narrow end, making it a little easier to stow away in a bag. (The antennas/connectors only stick out on one end, not both, so there's a little less chance of them snagging on something in my pocket.) I have enough room for an AHRS module, a GPS, and two SDRs. It seems to be a little more durable than my old case (which started…
