I just installed the AHRS board. Initially I had a bit of trouble getting Stratux to recognize the board. I am using Stratux version 1.4r5. I had to downgrade to 1.4r3, hit the AHRS switch, and then roll back to 1.4r5. Stratux now recognizes AHRS. The latest version of Stratux does not have an open AHRS detection switch. This is the kind of PnP device for AHRS that we Stratux users have been waiting for a long time. It's really fantastic. I flew it around the room and it did a good job and I flew it last weekend and it worked great. Is this a replacement for the main flight display? Absolutely not and should not be used as such except in extreme emergencies. That's why I have it. For the price, you just can't beat it, and the fan control is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

AHRS I haven't had a chance to compare it to the StratuS system. But StratuX AHRS, albeit with the latest revision, is now native in Foreflight; but in WingX this is patchy and unreliable. In other words, while AHRS is smooth in nick and roll in WingX, it sometimes freezes briefly or the AHRS position display disappears for 6-7 seconds and then finally comes back. Given all the excellent reviews I'm sure this problem is unique to me. I did an orientation in the house and it looked fine. Probably not on the plane. Looking at the Stratux web interface, the AI was messed up. Brown, that should be on the bottom (unless you're a kamikaze), but the blue had a big brown streak in it.
