Velcro came out VERY quickly

I love the look of these shoes and they fit my son well. They are easy to turn on and off. But after a month of very light use, the velcro won't close anymore and they come off TOO EASILY. I'm upset because I've heard a lot about the durability of this brand and the shoes weren't cheap for what my son will outgrow in a few months. I was really hoping they would last longer! They also appear to be smaller than other toddler shoes.

Pros
  • These shoes are perfect for my nephew with his very wide feet! Would definitely buy again.
Cons
  • Sneakers can be difficult to tie for toddlers who are learning to tie their shoelaces.

Ideal for chubby baby feet

They were perfect for my son's chunky baby feet! I used the measuring instructions on the Stride-Rite website and they are true to size.

Pros
  • Available in truffle color which is a versatile and stylish choice for any boys outfit.
Cons
  • Running shoes are not suitable for all foot and ankle problems.

Didn't last a week!

At first I liked the shoes. The rubber bands broke within a week. I find that unacceptable for toddler shoes that cost $30 to $40 a pair.

Pros
  • My 16 month old has wide feet and hates shoes. This shoe is easy to put on and actually stays on. Love her!
Cons
  • Sneakers can be considered expensive for children's shoes.

Just shoes for my baby!

I bought these shoes 3 times in different sizes. My toddler walks best with this particular brand and style. I've tried other styles of Stride Rite and he seems to stumble more easily (even after he's had a few days to adjust). I think the front design of this shoe is perfect for toddlers and I love that they have a wide range because it's perfect for my boys swollen feet.

Pros
  • Quality always at the forefront Rite
Cons
  • Shoelaces can be easily untied

Great for 1 month but poor velcro

These shoes fit my little one well but the velcro has worn off less than 2 months after purchase so no longer wear them. Look for a brand with more durability

Pros
  • We liked this color as it goes with everything and it's very flexible for learning to walk in shoes.
Cons
  • I fully expected to like them but less than 1 month after wearing them the velcro is not sticking! Please replace!

Velcro no longer works.

Good shoes but after only 4 months of wearing these shoes the velcro has worn out and doesn't work at all on one of them. Really disappointing.

Pros
  • I took them out of storage. They are in very good condition and fit my son perfectly.
Cons
  • They brought a shoe, it was dirty. A SHOE?!?! Unbelievable.

Too skinny for fat legs

Had to send them back and get wide. The baby is small and her fat legs don't fit. But they were very cute and well done! The sneaker may not be as durable as other brands, at a similar price point.

Pros
  • Features a padded collar and tongue for added comfort and support for your child's foot.
Cons
  • Sneakers may not be as durable as other brands at a similar price.

I love it!: my review

My son has had them for a few months now and they are still holding up great. They are perfect for his wide, high feet. They are very cute and he seems to love them too.

Pros
  • My 18 month old son loves them and wouldn't wear any other shoes. Excellent quality.
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide enough arch support for some toddlers.

Bought for my grandson who has wide feet.

They fit perfectly! We couldn't buy him shoes in most other stores because his feet were too wide. These shoes are perfect! Thanks!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • These shoes were sent by another child and are dirty. It's scary to send another kid in worn shoes

Perfect little shoes

I'm so happy with it. The bottom is so soft and very wide! My child had 3 pairs of shoes and mostly insisted on taking them off quickly. She actually wore them so we could put them on so she could wear them. I will definitely buy the Stride Right again.

Pros
  • These shoes are amazing!
Cons
  • Sneakers may not be as comfortable as advertised

Stuck on thick ankles!

My grandson has chunky ankles and big feet. I thought I would wear it in socks all winter until I found these shoes. The only boot we found that stays on his feet because they are so thick!

Pros
  • I love these shoes, perfect for my son's wide feet (ours is 4.5 watts). They also have good structure. Very happy.
Cons
  • Running shoes may not be suitable for all types of terrain.

Velcro fits me

My LO loves his shoes but after only 2 months of wearing them the velcro straps keep coming undone! it defeats the purpose because the shoes don't last - it's hard to walk in them :((these shoes paid $$$ :((((

Pros
  • Perfect for my active 2 year old.
Cons
  • Running shoes may not provide enough support for active toddlers.

Just right for wide feet!

I love these shoes. My 19 month old has VERY wide feet. Other shoes that are said to be wide just don't fit him. They really suit his wide feet! Just hop on and off. Overall a great little shoe for him.

Pros
  • The shoes fit very well but the velcro had worn out in 3 months and the shoes were not worn every day.
Cons
  • The material may irritate the skin of some babies.

Velcro worn in less than 2 months

Let me start by saying that we love the Stride Rite shoes. Both of my boys have wide feet and this brand always fits best. Also, the quality in front of this couple was great! I initially loved these shoes, great line with soft movement and love that they offer extra width. Unfortunately I bought them in early September and last week (early October) the velcro on one side was completely worn out. Now they won't close and I have to order a new pair. Very disappointed as I love these shoes so…

Worth the money

So I didn't want to spend $50 on kids' shoes that only last a few months. (I think the price should be a bit lower) but I can see how easy it is for my kid to walk/run in it. as if he were barefoot. Very light and comfortable. When my 3 year old was a kid he used to trip and fall and now I know it was his shoes. It has been proven that babies need soft soles so that their little feet can feel the ground. So the sole should be comfortable and light. My 3 year old wore regular soled shoes that…

Velcro isn't long enough for fat feet

You'd think extra-wide shoes would accommodate fat feet... But the Velcro on these shoes was too short to begin with. But if you can't fully close the Velcro on the top of the foot, it just won't hold, and the worst thing is when the shoe comes off and the kid falls. It's not the velcro style I remember from my childhood where you had a lot of surface area and was very adjustable. For some reason this company decided to divide the velcro into sections and the longest section is too wide to…
