I bought the device over nine months ago and I'm still using the first battery. So don't worry about constantly buying and replacing the battery. The thickness of the pen depends on the program for OneNote, which I prefer for school notes. I like it when it's thicker, but if you want to paint with it like an Autodesk scrapbook, you can change the thickness and size. Overall I really recommend it.

This pen worked right away. I've been using it for the past few hours and it seems great to be my backup pen over the traditional Microsoft OEM pen. If you travel a lot like me, I often forget my pen in the office. This is a fantastic backup. One important thing to note is that the eraser is different from the OEM pen, you need to press the button and draw a line to erase. It took some getting used to.

In the world of corporate interfaces, pens look alike and if you're like me you lose them from time to time (damn hole in my pocket ). I liked this one first for the color, the primer, and I got it the next day when I ordered it in a meeting where I realized I didn't know where my pen was. Synced to my surface instantly.
