Works great with minor modifications.

I've been looking for a cable holder for my ironing board for a long time. The ones that stick up in the air with thick wire are just too flimsy and don't keep the cable out of the way. This barely fits on my ironing board. It made a horrible squeak at first, but a bit of WD40 fixed that. The weight you put on the cable to pull it down is not strong enough to hold the cable. I ended up making a loop and tying it to the weight and it works great. It didn't feel like it was heavy enough, but itโ€ฆ

works for me in Ironing Accessories

Well I put this on the end of the board, side and back so the coil is vertical in the air; where it was in the back and forth of my iron or my hand because it sticks out a few inches in the air and can be knocked off easily. Mediocre Cord Minder

I'm a sewing teacher and one of the first things I teach new students is the importance of pressing down when sewing. That's why I always have an ironing board in my sewing room and an iron that's always ready to hand. What has always annoyed me is that the iron cord gets in the way when ironing. I considered making some sort of hook out of a wire hanger to hold the cord up and out of the way, but then realized they probably sell something similar at Revain. Of course they do! Well made product, works well enough but so-so.

I came up with this concept for holding cords on an ironing board. If I had developed it myself, it would be just like this product. So when I came across this one, I bought it. It consists of a slip-on reel with a line guide and a small weight. You attach the pulley to the back of the board, thread the power cord through the rail, and attach the weight. So as you move the iron back and forth across the board, the weight keeps the extra cord pulled in as it slides up and down the back of theโ€ฆ
