I used to have several of these types of tools. This one is a bit thicker than the previous ones. It's a bit heavier, but doesn't vibrate as much. Others I've used came with loose parts in a ziplock bag. It comes in a small case with Kaizen foam. Each piece fits into a slot and is protected by a hard case. I like that the numbers are engraved. Great article.

First project with the new jig. With careful tuning and tightening, this gave very reproducible results. Good workmanship and workmanship without sharp edges and very stable construction. Much better than the standard plastic jigs I've used in the past and saves time on future projects by not having to make special jigs for each job.

First things first. All of the lights in this style appear to be, to some extent, clones of the classic, US-made True Position lights. Of course, good quality copies are sold because a quality original is much more expensive than this copy. However, for a copy this works very well. The action is fairly smooth and consistent. Much better, in my opinion, than any other way I've found and drilled holes for cabinets, drawers, and handles.

This tool saves a lot of time. I always measured and marked all hole locations and hand drilled them. With this tool I can measure and adjust the jig and drill all the holes at once. I have tried other devices for this app with little success. They won't repeat themselves very well. They were plastic and too thin. This one is built much better.
