Great pliers, I haven't used Knipex cobras so can't tell if they are the same but I think they were very valuable. for money

Bought these on sale, not a Knipex but for the price I'm very happy with it. Please note that they are for home use when I would pay a little more for a Knipex brand for professional use

I have Knipex pliers. Bought this set and the Maxpower set to compare with my Knipex. I would choose sunnex between sunnex and maxpower. The quality seemed better. The Knipex blows in both directions. My 10" Knipex opens more than a 12" Sunnex and the Knipex has a finer adjustment. I'd rather have just a pair of Knipex pliers than this whole set. But for the price they are usable.

These are budget quality locks. • Doesn't look high quality. When I squeeze the handles, I immediately feel twisting/slipping. • The setting button is awkward to use. You have to click on it a few times for the jaws to unlock and move. • The button mechanism does not look durable. Again, it looks like a cheaply made tool. • The kit comes with oil or grease on each channel lock. I think they do this knowing that they are not easy to adjust, so just touching the tool will leave oil on your hands.

I still don't know why I need these pliers but I know I will need them one day. Auto work, plumbing, work on anything that requires a secure grip with a lever. It's only a matter of time before they prove invaluable. They come with a heavy duty cloth carry case that will keep them securely stored until needed, a nice touch. Anything that requires pliers that can block or have a good grip on any screw or whatever you need to remove. If you know what channel lock pliers are, they're pretty much the same except they don't open as wide. The jaws of these pliers are really good for grabbing anything.
