Well they are cheap.

The fact that they are cheap actually costs more money. You'll use about four of these against VSM or even Blackhawk. In this case, the grinding will not be even. Save time and money and just buy any other flat drive and you will get better results.

Oversized center hole

I was very hopeful when I ordered them but decided to return them. The hole in the middle is big. It should be 7/8" but it's more like 15/16. The fit should be snug, not loose. I've never seen such a loose fitting rim. This causes unwanted vibration. I checked 3 different shafts to find out to see if they're the problem, they all fit the same, it's the disc's fault.

Pros
  • Abrasive Discs
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Better than flap wheels

Reasonable price and good quality. For me it spends either $8 or $10 on a paddlewheel that lasts about as long as 6 of these. But the most interesting thing for me is that every time I put in a new disc, it's a fresh disc, not a worn out flapper. This means that each part I grind takes longer and longer as the petal disk wears out. 1 of them makes a unit for me. can be increased to 2 units but they are so cheap that I just put a new one in for speed. And yes, it's quicker to swap them out than…

Pros
  • Fiber backed wheels
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
