We have ordered several versions from different manufacturers. (None worked.) Some don't specify if you need to remove the ballast from the old mount. Some don't mention the location of the insert tabs, which are sometimes left, center, or right. Be careful - there are so many things to consider. After three different manufacturers, we decided to replace our fixtures with lights that DO NOT NEED EXPENSIVE LAMPS OF THIS TYPE.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

I wish I had read the FAQ before ordering as it said 'will this work with Panasonic'. My experience was exactly the same as one of the people who responded. If you are considering buying such a bathroom, you must be aware of this issue.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

for many years probably every 6 months. Suddenly nobody wears them in "neutral" white 3500K anymore, which is what I need. I took one of these LED bulbs to see how it would work and I hooked it up today. The LED lamp is slightly longer, larger and heavier than the Phillips CFL lamp, but still easily fits into the luminaire. More importantly, there are no offset tabs on the lamp base like Phillips and other PL-C lamps, so it plugs directly into my fixture with no installation hassles. In terms…
