1 1/2 months of use, about 2-3 times a week, became damaged and the washcloth fell off the handle. It is possible to get a replacement for $4.99 per pair which, given the same usage and breakage rate, would mean the real cost could be $20.00 per year. I will be replacing it with a metal brush for my cast iron pans. I cannot recommend this product.

No idea why there were bad reviews. We ordered two of these to try out as we can't find the previously available Betty Crocker brand mop. The quality is excellent! We used the first one for several weeks with no signs of wear. In comparison, the scrubber head here is larger if you also used a Betty Crocker head. We are very satisfied and hope it is still available if we need to replace it.

America's Test Kitchen recommended a grill brush that costs over $50 (with shipping). That's too much for this humble griller. I looked closely at ATK's recommendation and found that it was just a stainless steel shield on a long wooden handle. This one has a similar mat and is $40 less.
