🔧 Superior Electric Pads & Abrasives SPD18 Sanding Pad: Perfect Replacement for Dewalt 151280-00, 151284-00SV Review

The original pickguard has lasted many years. I put in a replacement and after the weekend it was worse than the original pad. They are easy to install but short-lived. I took an old styrofoam napkin, cut a square out of it and glued it to the plate with rubber glue. It has lasted much longer than those wear plates and is still running with little wear.

This is not a replacement for the Dewalt Palm/Orbital Sander. Mounting screws/bolts don't match, it's totally unusable. The quality of the product is also quite low, the metal glued to the rubber pad is rough and unfinished. Sloppy production, nothing like the original Dewalt. I wish I could return it but the return window closed before I tried to use it.

Works. Definitely not great quality. My overlay is glued to the base crookedly, but it works. The biggest problem is that the picture shows 2 pads and the description says "Save when you buy 2 packs!". I thought it was 2. Either it isn't, or my pad is shorted. There is no drop down menu to choose 2 packs or link to this item so they need to refine the list.

I have a small Dewalt grinder. The paneling on it has become quite rusty and unusable. It was a PERFECT replacement part and the price was great since I bought it online. They were listed elsewhere as two separate parts and went for as much as $40. THIS is insane for what this part is. I can just buy another one and keep it in my sanding case in case I wear it out in a few years.
