🧭 SUUNTO MCB NH Mirror Compass: Navigate with Precision and Accuracy Review

Not tested in the field yet but so far it does what it's supposed to. Great for an everyday bag without being too tactical. I will probably buy more

For this money or more you can't beat it. It's precise, lightweight and floats. It is simple yet easy to use. I have a collection of compasses and will use them all the time.

Don't waste your money and time. Absolute junk. It looked like a $2 kid's toy, and the so-called mirror was a fuzzy sticker where you couldn't see the reflection. It looked like a cheap Chinese imitation. I returned it.

Works well and is compact. The plastic feels a little light, but hopefully it will be durable. I love it and it's a backup compass for me. If I were a daily user I would pay more for a better model. However, it is perfect for emergency backups.

A bit disappointed with this item given the price. Very light and doesn't seem very durable. There is no hinge, just a plastic hinge that will wear and break over time. The mirror looks like foil, not glass. It'll do the job, and the light weight might be a plus, but overall I'm not impressed.

This compass is passable, the lid hinge is just corrugated plastic and will eventually break. The whistle/nozzle clip is cheaply made to the point where I don't think it will drop my compass so I just threaded the included reflective thread through the hole. The cord is well made, highly reflective and has fused ends. The mirror is clean and well marked. Not bad for the money but if you can afford an upgrade you should.

Wow, I was disappointed with this Suunto. I have several different Suuntos, but they are older. The case of this compass is made entirely of plastic. The lid hinge is not a hinge at all, just thinner plastic. I'm sure it wears and breaks. The compass itself simply snaps into the housing. The protective film on the mirror is difficult to remove. The whistle is beautiful and reliable. The clip mechanism that secures the whistle to the compass seems a little flimsy. Again, I think it wears out…

This compass is cheaper because it doesn't have an adjustable magnetic declination. However, you can always draw this yourself with a red marker on a piece of tape attached to the back of the baseplate. This compass is a steal! It's big and light. This is both accurate and precise. I guess he swims. The mirror is clean and can be used for signaling. For $20 you can't go wrong. Don't be put off by some of the negative reviews. I was hesitant to buy it but trusted my intuition knowing it was from Suunto. I don't think it's brittle like some reviews suggest.
