This compass is passable, the lid hinge is just corrugated plastic and will eventually break. The whistle/nozzle clip is cheaply made to the point where I don't think it will drop my compass so I just threaded the included reflective thread through the hole. The cord is well made, highly reflective and has fused ends. The mirror is clean and well marked. Not bad for the money but if you can afford an upgrade you should.
