If you want to sharpen, you have it with this tool. Every second plastic rivet gets stuck and the tool has to be disassembled and removed. I would spend twice as much to have a decent tool. It's not like this. I'll be back.

This handy tool allows the user to quickly repair the plastic trim on most modern vehicles. The only complaint is that the jaws stick a little to the rivet shank. Once you get used to this quirk, the tool becomes great!

Like others I was disappointed with this item because I need it to work and trust me I tried very hard to make it work and eventually I got 1 to work and on the second the stock got stuck in the gun. After an hour of wrestling with this item, I just gave up.

The rivets were great but the rivet gun jams when fully compressed. There is no way to open it, so the only way to loosen the rivet gun once the rivet is in place is to hit it with a hammer. The problem is that about 1/3 of the time I hit it, the impact rips the rivet out as well. Now I need to buy another rivet gun that actually works. Do yourself a favor and get another working rivet gun!

As a former bodybuilder and with thousands of plastic rivets I assumed something so simple might not work. However, it does! It doesn't pull on the center pin but gets caught on the edge. I haven't removed the cover and haven't noticed anything wrong, the only thing I can surmise is that the internal spring is too tight which prevents the jaws from pinching the stem. I missed the return deadline by 2 days and just paid $20 for 40 plastic rivets.

I got this to replace the fender liner brackets on my wife's Charger. Removed fasteners cannot be reused as they must be broken to remove. There were enough fasteners of the right size in the kit, but about half of them didn't fit. Either the bolt broke before it set the rivet in place, or the bolt was missing.
