The Syba SD-EXP15010 is a quick and easy way to add serial ports to my Sony VAIO VPCF13 laptop (Win 7 64-bit). I downloaded the latest drivers from the site provided in the documentation and everything worked as expected. The SD-EXP15010 is a great product for the money. As with most ExpressCard, CardBus, and PCMCIA devices, care must be taken not to bend the connector shell where it connects to the card.

On Windows Enterprise 64. Drivers were on disk. Installed with no problems but I had to search for the correct drivers. It did not automatically detect and install the correct drivers from the hard drive. Was able to connect the console to two Cisco devices at the same time with no weird crashes or lag like I have with a USB device. I agree with other reviewers when I say it seems far fetched. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. But for the price it's worth it!

I bought this to control a Celestron cg5-gt equatorial mount. This allows you to use 2 ports which I will use later when I buy a second telescope mount. If you have Express Port 3/4 and cannot connect an RS232 serial port, then this adapter is for you. Drivers work fine on 64-bit Vista. I couldn't ask for more.

This review refers to "Syba 2x Serial RS232 Ports 34mm ExpressCard SD-EXP15010". I needed to log activity from two serial ports simultaneously at high speed on a Win7 x64 laptop. Using a dual port USB serial adapter (probably based on FTDI) resulted in a blue screen after just a few minutes. This Cardbus-based adapter worked without any problems. worth 25 dollars. The adapter is also said to support Linux, but I haven't had a chance or need to test this.
