Replaced old tub spout that was corroded. The great thing about Symmons (and other brands by the way) is that I can always get replacement parts. I've also replaced worn internal components in the past.

As described, no complaints. However, it would be much more convenient if it also came with a spout ring/base flange, or at least had the option to purchase both. That's the only reason I give this product 4 stars.

This spout has a slot at the bottom, I don't know why but the old one I replaced doesn't. It's not as durable as the original. I paid extra to get Symmons but had to save money and buy one of the $9. It's probably the same part. Although it looks and works fine.

Custom-fit replacement, with additional air outlet. The slot is designed to allow moisture to escape between the shower wall and the spout. Since my old one did not have this ventilation, it rotted from the inside. So glad they added a slot! A NOTICE. Some reviewers complain about this slot, but it's an improvement over the old one.
