This is a good comb with narrow teeth for my fine hair so everything is smooth after a good brushing. It has beautiful Chinese designs and is handmade, so each comb is unique. At first I wasn't sure why it's so expensive because although it looks nice it's just a comb. After learning more about it, I found out that this comb was hand cut and painted. Anything made by hand is valued more than machine made. Looks like a nice comb and combs hair well but no better than other combs. Having said that, I have to say that this would make a great gift. This is a nice wooden comb which I ordered along with a set of different wooden combs from another brand. I've had to replace my old combs and prefer to go plastic free. In addition, the tree is not only visually more pleasant, but also more pleasant to the touch. I am very happy with this comb. It does a great job with my very long straight hair that has a little wave underneath which is very annoying. The wave makes my hair tangle easier and clumpy as the straight strands hang over the waves.

This is a good comb but I'm not sure I'll pay $40 for it. It is small and light in wood. This makes a good gift and comes in a gift-friendly box. The crest appears to be hand painted or decorated with stickers, hard to tell. Some of the designs are exactly the same as the listing but some look different.
