Old school but works great

Sure it's not a USB 3.0 compatible dock, but it doesn't claim to be. It allows multiple laptops/brands/ages to connect to multiple USB 2.0 audio and video ports quickly and easily. The cheap price doesn't hurt either. Both turned out to be new "old" stock items, originally packed with cables and plugs. Big. Update - added Dell 15" for mixing and ran into some video issues. Had to reset laptop and monitor resolution but after about 10-15 minutes of fiddling everything works - we usually swap out

Good for her Dell laptop

I got this dock for my daughter's birthday. She has a Dell laptop and wanted to install it in her new office with a larger (21 inch) monitor. I read all the reviews (on Cnet) and chose this one because I was SURE they would show part of the video for their flat screen. Well she loves it and it works just great. The only reason this isn't five stars is that the ports aren't powered, so the laptop must have its own power supply. Just a minor inconvenience. Everything else works perfectly! She can

Targus USB 2.0 Dock

This is a cost effective USB docking station. Most home use laptops don't have a docking connector, so you can use this type of docking station to connect multiple devices without having to plug and unplug them every day. Cost was the main reason I chose this model, there are other USB 3.0 models around $100 but this one seems to work fine. It's just that I can't connect 2 monitors because it doesn't have HDMI or a second one. VGA/DVI connection. It has ports for fast charging of mobile…

Works fine with Windows 10

I have to say this $20 docking station is amazing. My Lenovo Yoga 13 laptop runs Windows 10, and when I first plugged it in, all of its components were automatically detected and configured. The computer immediately went into multi-monitor mode with full 1080p resolution, switched to a direct network connection, audio switched to external speakers, mouse and keyboard became active, etc. This gave new life to my laptop. I was a little concerned. How a 1080p monitor looks/works when connected via

So far everything has been fine with the laptop accessories

After reading some other reviews I had my doubts. I downloaded and installed the latest graphics driver from the Targus website before receiving the item. I connected my speakers, external monitor, keyboard, mouse and printer to the docking station via USB and connected to my computer with the cable that came with it. My Windows 7 Home Premium Dell Inspiron took about 15 minutes to find all the drivers, after that everything worked great including the external video. I now have two monitors…

Great products, could use more USB ports

I bought this product for my Viao on the advice of a Sony Chat sales representative. I wanted to have two monitors and since my laptop doesn't allow me to use the HDMI and VGA ports at the same time, I had to look for a port replicator. Reviews for this product said it was pretty good with simple graphics, but they tended to underestimate themselves. I will review the installation process. (Windows 7 64-bit). After connecting the port replicator, the driver was automatically detected and…

Setup worked fine Voice over IP issue

Overall 4 stars for this product with the only notable issue being a minor compatibility issue with my Voice over IP phone. Pros: Installation was very easy. As long as you remember to download the drivers and software on your laptop BEFORE attempting to connect the product, you shouldn't have much of a problem. I first installed the product on a Dell Inspiron n5110 and then on an HP Pavilion dv9000. Both times with no problems. Please remember to check the Targus website for the latest…
