Works pretty well.

I have an Alienware R4 laptop with a 17.3 inch screen. I bought this protector and it fits almost perfectly. After adjustment, the difference in vertical height is about a pixel or two. It's good for some, but I still notice it, hence the 4 stars. Once you turn the brightness down a bit, this screen works well. People behind you will of course be able to see, but those on the sides will have a hard time, especially with this installed and the brightness is low. I used protrusions that fit under

Serves its purpose

Serves its purpose. I bought the 23.6" version and it fit my monitor perfectly so between static and tight fitting I didn't even have to use any of the mounting tabs that came with it. At angles it definitely blocks the screen and is perfect. For this feature which was the main reason I bought it. I took off a star because it significantly dims the screen for me when I'm sitting directly in front of it. I turned the brightness all the way up and it's still a little dimmer than I wanted. Also…

I find it quite annoying having to move my head back and forth.

Very expensive plastic film. Bought for our HR department because too many people were walking in and out of their office and could see their screen from a certain angle. Personally, I may have just rearranged my desk to avoid this problem, but I think a nearly $80 piece of polarized plastic makes up for it. Just pick up the crap and put it aside. with acer 24 inches (16:9 screen), the edges are slightly darkened when looking at the center of the screen. I find it quite annoying having to move…

Economical and good

I used to buy a 3M filter and it is very good https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HU9QU6W/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1 However, he has Cost $60. It was worth it and I bought a larger size so it sticks out on all 4 sides on the laptop and I just taped it on and it worked out fine. Now I've been wanting to buy a 3M filter again, but when I saw the Targus 4Vu privacy screen for $21 I couldn't resist and bought it instead. It came in a HUGE box and was well packaged. The screen itself

A good option for not much money!

Agree with the other review here that it's more like an anti-glare screen with LITTLE privacy screen. My wife can still see what I'm doing when we're sitting next to each other on the couch (although I honestly didn't buy it to hide what I'm doing from her). This only obscures what's happening on your screen, but outlines and images may still be visible to those around you (I'll try to post a few images to show what I'm talking about). I figured I'd take a chance with a cheaper privacy screen…

Glare removed! at Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I have two 27 inch Thunderbolt displays and just moved into a new office with floor to ceiling windows and a great view. Due to the office configuration, I sit with my back to the window and the glossy displays were a glaring nightmare. I almost couldn't see the screen. I've tried cheaper screen protectors but it was a disaster due to air bubbles so I invested in them. Just installed and the glare was gone. 100% eliminated. In fact, the privacy shield only covers part of the display, not the…
