I needed a hand scale to weigh dog food. It's awful, the weight changes every time I pick up the bowl and try to change its position to check accuracy. It's not an ounce or two, it's a whole pound. The tray isn't securely attached either, so it's useless for my purposes as well. Find other scales to buy.

I bought this scale for my mom and aunt who live in a 1920's California bungalow on a small lot full of citrus, mango and fig trees. They use scales to weigh the fruit they pick. It's comfortable, holds what you want to weigh without falling off, and lets you see the weight without having to wear glasses. I looked at the digital scale but it would be too hard to read (they are 90 and 95 years old). They love it!

Very inexpensive scale. The plastic is a little flimsy and the tray just sits on top. It seems more than sufficient for an entry-level model. I expect it to work indefinitely for my needs if I don't drop it. I like that this scale does not require batteries. So far I have used this scale to measure flour and meat. Photos can be deceiving as to size. Bought and returned scale. It was inaccurate and didn't go back to 0 when you shot what you ever tried to weigh. There is a setting to calibrate the scale to a zero starting point, but it doesn't go back to where you set it.
