I ended up having to order some new tapes as the old tapes lost everything that was on the tape which affected tracking and the image rolled and lost sync. When I buy a batch of new tapes, I practice each one by fast-forwarding to the end and then rewinding to the beginning before writing anything on them. I bought a pack of 10 TDK cassettes in April 2005 - Boxes say 'TDK - EXCELLENT QUALITY - Standard T-120' - 'VHS Standard Grade' - " Videocassette for everyday and repeated recordings." I am very interested in the manufacture date of these straps and/or if they are in good storage conditions. I ordered these tapes on December 3rd, 2012. They were bought to replace tapes that had deteriorated from lots of recording and re-recording resulting in poor video/audio quality when I found I only had one new tape left.
