Description of TDS Meter (salt meter) electronic - TDS-3
TDS meter (salt meter) - a device for determining the amount of dissolved impurities in water, its contamination in domestic conditions.
It is used in the analysis of water for one of the main parameters - salinity. TDS instrument is a meter for measuring the conductivity of water and its quality and the degree of purification from impurities. The TDS meter measures the amount of dissolved particles (Total Dissolved Solids - hence the name - TDS meter) in a fixed volume of water. The TDS meter allows you to quickly and easily determine the purity and temperature of water from various sources: flow filters, jugs, wells, wells, pools and aquariums. Also, using a TDS meter, you can set the amount of metal salts present in the water, measure the air temperature. Determination of the TDS value (total dissolved solids) is used in the preparation of various solutions and water purification for hydroponics. Using the TDS meter, you can constantly check the quality of water, both at home and at work! When measuring the level of water hardness using the device, ppm is measured - (concentration of salts in one million particles of water). The salinity of water is determined by the following indicators: from 0 to 50 ppm - ideal water for drinking; from 50 to 170 ppm - satisfactory water condition (after filter cleaning); from 170 to 300 ppm - untreated tap water; from 300 to 400 ppm - hard , untreated water from a source or natural reservoir; from 400 to 500 ppm and above - the constant use of water is dangerous to health.
CharacteristicsThe device operates in the TDS range - from 0 to 9990 ppm (0.9990 conventional sodium chloride mg / liter); Measurement accuracy of impurities - 2% of the full measurement range; Measures temperatures in the range from 0C to + 80C; Measurement accuracy +/- 2C ; Division value: 1 ppm or 1C, respectively; Has a factory calibration of NaCl 342 ppm.
