Replaced someone's attempt to eliminate the original point adjustment which was poorly engineered, then an amateur mechanic added in the backyard and you can guess the rest, problem solved with new distributor and Looks sexy, thanks for the simplicity

I used this on my 355 Chevy engine which is in my 1955 Chevy 4 door :) He and my brothers have been in Florida for 41 years and I always have nor the car :) This distributor and coil work well on my engine and I am very happy with it :)

Very disappointed with this product, the cap is short and poorly finished inside. Shown to mechanic and told not to buy this item again. Lesson learned. And he tried to return it, Amazon gave me the number of a company not related to this product, so I can't contact anyone to solve this problem. DO NOT BUY THIS.

I installed a new distributor ready to go, got the on time and order right and once the distributor runs for a bit it heats up and shuts itself off. I thought that maybe the electronic module had burned out, so I bought a new one and installed it. Same problem, I pulled it out again and installed the original point distributor and it immediately caught fire.

I bought a distribution kit that didn't work, the electronics were bad. You didn't help. Couldn't even provide a drawing or advice. exchange would in principle not said tuff good luck. They don't seem to understand that if treated right, we (customers) are repeat customers. Pathetic excuses. I would not buy anything from South West Performance Parts or A-Team Performance again. both are useless in my book.

Installation was easy except the clips are easy to fall off due to poor installation. I installed this on my 1941 Chevy truck which runs in Michigan only 3 months a year and had its cover and rotor fail in one season. The truck misfired and when I removed the cover the center button was gone and the spring was already worn out. Think about the quality you get for the price. Order a new cap and rotor every few months for $20 with shipping? It is better to take a quality product.

The unit is installed well, but I have been dealing with this vacuum problem for a long time. Called SOUTHWEST PERFORMANCE for technical assistance to replace the vacuum advance unit. And their system is so unfriendly. These are all WORDS - WE WANT TO HELP. My DISTRIBUTOR has a blown vacuum membrane. Cheap China I guess. They give you a phone number and then leave a message saying they no longer answer their phones. I don't have time to go through their system so be careful and watch out for…
