much higher quality and weight and better material than the cheap ones that came with my chinese 2.2kw spindle. thought it was ok to play with the chisel a bit before blocking. no - other "cheap" collets are more than half the price of this one, so getting a better one is no problem. It's an excellent product and without the game mentioned it's much less likely to break in my opinion.

Very good collets. Measured TIR @1/4" from the collet is .004, @3/4" from the collet is .006, @1" (where it REALLY matters) is .008. I don't know, where did they come from ".0002" accuracy maybe in the processing of a collet?I will keep this collet because I like the clamping pressure but I will pay more for Think & Tinker,LTD accuracy in the future.(Precise Bits) - High precision grade - TIR @ 1"-.0002" for over $40.

After more than 30 years as a CNC operator/programmer I spent the last 15 years in another field before retiring and buying a CNC router for my garage/hobby. I needed more collets and checked the ones listed at Revain. If you can buy a "set" for $25 I don't even have to look at it, it's bullshit.
