Does not have a timer function. The lighting is dim and the keys are a bit cramped on some. However, I highly recommend that they serve their decorative purpose and you can't beat the price. I am completely satisfied. Serves as an accent for the cute 16 centerpieces.

I really like these candles. From several meters away, it looks like a real flame. I also like the remote control. It's nice to be able to turn them on without having to flip them one at a time. The remote doesn't respond the way we'd like, but for the price, that's a minor complaint.

LOVE THESE CANDLES! The movement of the flame does not come from a lightbulb, but from a small piece of plastic in the shape of a flame. The plastic part hangs from a wire, giving it more freedom of movement than just a flickering lightbulb. The light falls on the plastic part, making it more realistic. You exceeded my expectations. I have several Luminara candles. Some cost over $50 each. These look just as nice. I put three on the stove in handmade ceramic and it's perfect. I like the timer function for 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours. Every night at 7:30pm they turn on at the same time and turn off exactly 4 hours later. Candles can be set to glow and flicker or just flicker. So many possibilities! Great offer!

If you're using this in a treatment room, be aware that the fake wick *will* make a lot of noise. UPDATE! They have changed the electronics since my original review in January 2018. I had to downgrade my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars as the battery now only lasts 2-3 months in automatic mode. Standby current increased 5 times, from 0.23mA to 1.2mA. And the brightness is now strongly dependent on the battery voltage - particularly noticeable with NiMH batteries, which I would recommend as the only cells to do so.
