Faulty unit - DC output short circuit

I bought this unit in 2017 as a backup. I never opened the box until I needed a backup power supply a few weeks ago. I moved the Kenwood TM-V71A's power connector from my Jetstream PS to this one and turned it on. The fuse blew immediately. The fuse holder is very difficult to remove and there are no instructions on how to replace the fuse. I figured I would definitely damage it by deleting it. I've always used Astron "linear" power supplies for my ham radio but I'm putting together a box with the radio, power supply, antenna tuner etc so I can use my hobby in state parks, campgrounds or any other place I want to install and use. A £30 PSU just won't fit so I did a little shopping and found this unit for almost half the price many others were asking for a 12V 30A PSU. I love that it has Anderson Powerpoles as I use them a lot. The device also has a switchable, well-lit voltammeter and

POOR FILTERING on Lab & Scientific products

After plugging it in I turned on my Kenwood TS-2000 and got a flat tone around 1kHz out of the speaker regardless of the volume setting. This means that the supply voltage from the power supply had a terrible ripple. That means bad filtering or no DC filtering. It also means I would likely have that tone in my transmitted signals as well, which would be in violation of FCC rules and regulations and making communication difficult if not impossible. GOOD! THIS IS VERY TERRIBLE! I returned this PS
