Nice light hammer

I really like this hammer for light work. That's my approach to things like hanging pictures and sliding things in. The best thing about this hammer is the rubber handle. I find it soft and grippy even when my hands are wet. Tekton is a great brand and I have other tools from them that I am happy with as well.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Damaged

Tekon material = good value for money

Pretty well made and great value. If I needed a medium-duty ball-peen hammer every day, I could spend more; But I only need it a few times a year. I use tools hard but expect this to last forever. Was thinking of getting a 36oz if you really need to hit a piece of metal and the hand slide is too imprecise and soft.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

The head became shaky, wobbled.

I don't use this hammer very often, but even if I have used it a lot it should still be a useful and safe tool. Unfortunately, the head is loose and dangling. Fortunately, I discovered this problem before it resulted in personal injury or property damage. If you bought a Tekton fiberglass jacketed ball hammer I would suggest checking to make sure the head is secure.

Pros
  • Solid workmanship
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

TEKTON BALL PEIN HAMMER WORTH BUYING

TEKTON 30402 Fiberglass Jacketed Hammer, 12 oz. This hammer is ideal for cutting softer metals, which I often do, and the weight is just right for my job. and the hammer has a somewhat unique look with its red fiberglass sleeve. I was very impressed with the TEKTON brand and their decent quality standards, it's worth the price I paid (around $11 or so).

Pros
  • Very Good Value
Cons
  • Not Sure

Everything is OK. . on Hammers

I'm a mechanic so it gets used quite a bit but after about a week of use the head started to separate from the handle. At first it dangled a little, didn't bother. A few uses later and there doesn't seem to be anything holding the head by the handle and I'm afraid one day I'll swing it and the head will just fly off. The resinous stuff they put on top to secure it just doesn't work. The first TEKTON tool to disappoint me, hopefully the last.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Fits

The flat head wasn't flat at all. It was so uneven and full of anomalies that it would have been difficult to use it for flat sheet metal. The casting of the head was probably ground down for finishing, but that gave me the impression that it was done quickly and imprecisely. The handle seemed solid, as did the socket head, but I'll never know how well the head will hold onto the handle because I don't know how to use this hammer. I returned it. The price is too high for a really poorly made…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Goes distance

I bought this hammer over 4 years ago. I was a bit surprised to see that I hadn't written a review for it. My hammer went through the ring. Because of its low price I thought it was a "throw away" tool. I wanted to use it in a welding school and figured it would break if mishandled. NOT THE CASE. It's very well done. I can only hope that the rest of this hammer line is still built like this. I plan to buy more hammers from them. The price for a set of hammers is amazing and if they are made…

Pros
  • Polyethylene outer sleeve protects handle core from mis-hitting
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

My first Tekton hammer

I have several claw hammers and several Tekton tools. I wanted to add a hammer to my toolbox in my shooting bag. You never know when you'll need it. I don't want a claw and I don't need a really heavy 8 oz. good enough. I chose this Tekton hammer based on my experience with their other tools. Also because the price is good. Looks very solid and feels good in the hand. The head is tilted slightly to one side, but not as much as in another person's picture. It's okay, but the more I look at it…

Pros
  • Soft and comfortable non-slip rubber handle
Cons
  • Small parts

. tools is to AVOID SUCH TOOL PRODUCTS. It just shows a huge.

If I've learned one thing from buying tools, it's AVOID LARGE TOOLS LIKE THIS. It just shows a big difference in quality control. I bought a 32 ounce ball stop hammer from this company just to see if there would be a difference, and indeed there was. Their 32-ounce hammer was immaculate and even had a TEKTON decal on the handle. Then I buy this set and what a DIRT the heads aren't even forged right no decal, faded red on the handles compared to the 32oz hammer. quailty and has some crappy…

Pros
  • Permanent epoxy bond between head and handle won't loosen over time
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
