Very good build quality. Good price!

This footswitch is definitely better than I expected. Pro:1. Looks very good. Painting work is very good.2. difficult conditions. Cast aluminum for body. Good materials.3. The rubber feet are enough to stay in place while working.4. Mechanical operation is reliable with predictable feedback (switch clicking sound).5. Great quality at a great price Cons: 1. No instructions for general users.2. It would be nice to have a built in power socket (nice to have). I connected it as shown in the picture

Pros
  • Dimensions: 201 x 101.5 x 75 mm (7.91 x 4.00 x 2.95 inches)

Rugged, high-quality footswitch

I use this footswitch to control a high-power resistance soldering block that can draw up to 1800 watts (15 amps). This switch is perfect for the job. The body is made of durable die-cast metal. The electrical switch is a high quality switch with contacts rated at 15A at 120V, 240V and even 600V AC. This switch is not shipped pre-wired. You must provide and attach your own wire. You must use 14 AWG or larger wire if you intend to operate the switch at its full 15A current rating. 16 AWG is good

Pros
  • Cast aluminum construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

I liked the price of this footswitch. I was a little surprised that there was no real packaging on arrival and the isolator/clip from the picture was not included. I added an NMB clamp and assembled the necessary parts and tools. I used: 3 crimps on the wire connectors (blue), 1 wire nut (yellow), 8ft ground extension wire (cut from an extra wire in the garage), 1 pair of wires. Wire strippers/pliers and a Phillips screwdriver. Disclaimer: I am not an electrician so follow the instructions at…

Pros
  • 5 year warranty on behalf of USA. UNUSUAL.
Cons
