I bought these for chalk on paper but ended up using them for seed germination. Of course, it helps them to germinate quickly. Highly recommended. As others have said, it would be nice to know what heat setting you're getting instead of having to tweak it.

I purchased this item for my Snake Case and placed it under a case on a low level and the bottom panel of my case cracked. The temperature regime at that time was at a low level. If you are spending money on a heater, it is not recommended. I don't need to order another one and I can't use the case.

I guess I didn't check the sizes carefully enough because when they arrived they were HUGE lol it didn't really matter, they actually worked better. I've been trying to find a decent heat mat for my hermit crabs and have previously bought two different types that suck (.). But only one of these was suitable for my 40 gallon aquarium and warmed her terrarium well.

I love these rugs! This is exactly what I needed for my leopard gecko enclosure! I have 20 gallon tanks and was having a hard time finding the right size to give them an appropriate temperature gradient until I found this one! Sometimes a product doesn't need to be fancy to do the job. These heat pads are pretty basic, but they work better than some much more expensive ones I've bought that are made for reptiles. As for the more expensive ones, I have to throw them out now because they can never keep my frog tank at the right temperature no matter how I set them up. Not so with these.
