Material: Copper alloy; It is machined with very high precision and high quality. Copper has more than 3x the thermal conductivity of brass, and the copper alloy we use has been hardened and treated to reduce the oxidation that occurs in copper at high temperatures. The higher thermal conductivity will also slightly increase your heat-up times, and can provide tighter temperature control. This heater block is for OD 3mm cartridge temperature sensor. This copper-alloy is very temperature resilient, and will not start to soften or anneal until way beyond 500°C, making it perfect for the high-temperature printing. Just make sure your nozzle and HEAT BREAK front end are tight and sealed. Otherwise, the melted consumables will leak along the screw holes.

Excellent extruder for industrial use

When I tried this product, I was blown away by its performance. The extruder worked flawlessly and produced precise and consistent results. It's perfect for industrial and scientific applications. The build quality is solid and the design is intuitive. The only downside is that it's a bit expensive compared to other options on the market. Overall, I highly recommend this extruder for anyone in need of a reliable and professional-grade tool.

Good quality, good finish, correct dimensions

The fit and finish was good, hooked up to my printer with no issues and after some PID tuning my hotend temp is significantly higher more stable than with an aluminum block. It's slightly heavier than aluminum, but I'll look into the extra weight for temperature stability.

Good quality plated block

Good build quality and finish. Real copper under nickel plated. The coated thread was a bit tight so I recut mine. (Perhaps this is a bad idea as it will put the part out of tolerance and cause a leak.) Make sure you are using the correct temperature sensor or you may have trouble installing the sensor or getting an accurate reading . The corresponding sensor is not sheathed, so the cable can be looped around the heat sink. Budget thermistors will not work without modifying the heat sink or…
