Works great... until it stops.

I bought this in September 2019 and it worked as advertised. Used it to split an HDMI signal from a 4K Blu-ray player and send one HDMI signal to a local monitor and the other to a Control4 A/V matrix along with analog audio. It just stopped working a month ago. I guess for the price I shouldn't expect it to last forever

when you need stereo sound.

This device makes it very easy to send audio from the FireCube to a separate auto-sensing amplifier. I use it in my kitchen to power 2 displays and a couple of speakers with electronic volume controls in the wall. Throw in a Harmony Hub remote and things get pretty cool. Only 24 hours on device so I'll update this post if anything goes wrong.

Amazing product and even better customer service

It worked as advertised but then broke. It's been about a year now and the output started clipping on both the HDMI ports and the RCA. It only happened after about two minutes of operation and it only shut down for about 5 seconds, then works for about 45 seconds and repeats. It is with an Apple TV 4K, 2 LG TVs connected via RCA with high speed 3D HDMI cables and a Bose radio. Has worked well for a year.   • This HDMI splitter outputs Dolby True-HD, DTS-HD, AC3, DTS and DSD audio formats but cannot decode these audio formats. If your amplifier or soundbar does not support these audio formats, there will be no sound from your soundbar or amplifier, so set the HDMI source audio format to PCM/LPCM.
