Description of TestDisk

TestDisk is powerful free data recovery software! It was primarily designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software: certain types of viruses or human error (such as accidentally deleting a Partition Table). Partition table recovery using TestDisk is really easy.

TestDisk is amazing software to recover lost data

I am able find my files even if it's been deleted from windows, formatted in linux with testdisk then restored back into win7 so that i can use them for work purposes without having access through Linux only at home - very helpful indeed!! There isn't much else you could ask about this program except maybe how good does its support actually get? If someone has already used other similar programs like photorec etc but have found those lacking compared too many things which makes me wonder what…

Pros
  • It recovers your file no matter where or when (if there is enough disk space!)it was lost originally! As well as making sure that all data remains safe while formatting new hard drives to an operating system/format suitable to one person; keeping everything tidy by not overfilling folders up completely just because we need more room than usual instead opting out using less diskspace altogether thus free storage remaining available after any unsuccesful attempts are done away
