Great little bag: camping

I received this bag on Thursday and took it on a hike on Saturday. I'm 6'0" and 280 pounds. I'm doing more and more day hikes to lose weight and needed something that had both a water bladder and a place to carry gear for my family on the hike. The problem is that it looks more like a women's bag. The belt was far from my hips. I had to let go of the shoulder straps completely for the strap to even get close. In the end I just gave in, tightened it and went beltless. So those Bag is great for…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not everything fits

I bought this backpack to stash my stuff on my commute to work until I could get a rack and bags for my bike. The second and third time I used the backpack it rained and I was able to pull out the rain hood and everything stayed dry. My family went out of their way to give me their electronics to keep them safe and dry and the hood did a great job. The end of the hydration pack is useless and I leave it on just to keep debris out of the mouthpiece. The backpack is also a bit smaller than I…

This company gets it!

I LOVE my backpack. I had it forever and finally bought it for a family member. We both use them weekly for day hikes or shorter hikes. This bag is large enough to hold water, snacks, an extra layer of clothing and a dog's hiking bowl, yet is lightweight and affordable. I particularly like the little pocket that secures the glasses case and the two mini pockets on the waist straps, perfect for snacking on the go. Also a big fan of the open pocket created by closing the clips on the highest…

Excellent hydration day pack

Ordered this pack for a hike in the South American Andes. We use carriers so we knew a smaller package would be great and didn't want the added weight of a large package. We received the Teton and prepackaged it to evaluate use and all items fit well: - shirts, (1) long sleeve, (1) fleece, (3-4) snacks, phone, wallet, passport, etc. We were concerned about how 2 liters of water would fit AND what we needed. Also, the Teton didn't fit men and women the same way, regardless of the level of…

Perfect for the big guy who likes to repack!

Just got back from the Uvarri National Forest after a half day hike of about 5 miles. This is now my favorite daypack. I'm 6ft 4in, 300lbs and I walk to get in shape. I point this out because, as all big boys know, a lot of backpacks are made for little skinny boys. Surprisingly, this backpack has enough customization options. to accommodate me with a spare seat. A full hydration bladder and everything you need for future night hikes including raincoat, spare socks, first aid jacket etc. easily

If only they made backpacks!

The Teton Sports Oasis. 1200 - has a capacity of 20 liters and is hands down the most comfortable and well thought out backpack I've ever carried. If they made large overnight containers I would buy one in a heartbeat. This lovely little backpack has ALL the bells and whistles you would want in a regular backpack. It's designed logically and thoughtfully, offering plenty of room and pairing beautifully with so much adjustment room - back pockets that really work when packed to the gills and…

Great day hike pack with lots of storage

Great pack for a long day hike! I've argued between this and the 1100 along with a number of other brands and overall I'm very happy with this package. Bladder quality reviews abound - to be clear, this is not a quality bladder that will last forever and take a beating, but for the price, it's better than you could be. expect. The valve is a little clunky, it's not a bite valve, but there's a steady flow of water, which is actually not bad if you have a dog and just want to pour into a bowl. I…

Great Daypack: Outdoors

I'm comparing it to my Osprey moisture pack which is almost double the price. In a way, this backpack is actually better. Some of the features of this pack that the Osprey doesn't have are the sides, mesh water bottle pockets, hip belt pockets, whistle buckle, rain cover and cooling liner. Some features that are missing are a magnetic mouthpiece clip and a water hose zipper. The 100 oz canister opens fully at the top, making it easy to clean and add ice. The sliding clip is slightly tight and…

Rating updated. Read please. Great backpack, great customer service.

August 5, 2017 Updated rating. I have upgraded my rating from 2 stars to 5/5. Teton's customer service is excellent. They replied within 24 hours and sent me a new bubble. Unfortunately, the new bladder had the same problem. However, I found a simple solution. Remove the rubber stopper from the end of the hose you are siphoning water from. Although the slot is not blocked and there is nothing inside the bite block/cover to block it, this part actually prevents water from entering the hose. Once
