good hammock good for camping furniture

I already have. Bought a mesh style hammock from Revain and loved it but needed another for the porch where it would be used more often. This hammock from the same company filled that gap perfectly. I'm more durable than a mesh hammock. The cotton material feels and the support ropes are strong enough to hold the weight limit. It has colorful stripes. I don't have struts to hold it open like a rope hammock so you wrap yourself in it like a banana, but it's comfortable. two. The staples are from

Extremely comfortable hammock

This is an amazingly comfortable hammock. I don't know what I was expecting but not that. It also seems very well made and hasn't stretched or sagged even after a week as a bed. The lines that come with it look almost like plasma but I'm not sure - they're very light anyway and very strong and more than enough to fit a hammock with. Because the fabric is fairly durable cotton (unlike the parachute hammocks I've tried before), it's much warmer to sleep in. It's wide enough for me to sleep flat…

Hammock Texsport La Paz

I love everything about this hammock. The blue and green color combination is very pretty. The fabric is durable and I don't have to worry about changing or repairing the cord in a cord type hammock. I have them between two trees, but instead of the cords that came with the hammock, I attached the hammock to two sturdy trees in the yard with a chain and used S-hooks to hook it into the two loops at each end of the hammock. . Each tree has a branch that grows sharply to the left to prevent the…

Great hammock, easy to set up

This hammock requires little maintenance - easy to hang and easy to clean. The fabric is smooth and does not tear. If you want to hang it between trees I recommend buying hooks. If you want to hang it between wooden beams (decking beams), I recommend drilling eyebolts into the wood and then tying it down with ropes (included). Just watch the video below to learn how to tie the right knot. This knot is perfect for quickly adjusting the height of your hammock (just skip: 34-1:34 in the video as…

Great purchase despite minimal instructions

I have never hung a hammock and this had to be hung from the ceiling. The instructions that come with the hammock are pretty minimal so I searched the internet. It's all pretty confusing, but I'd pretty much do what those minimal instructions say, plus a bit of trial and error. I've only had the hammock for a week, but it looks well made. It seems to behave like a hammock should. I have already ordered the larger version, Texsport "El Rio", because I would like to sleep in it. "La Paz" is a bit

Cheap but ends fall apart easily

Overall this is a comfortable hammock - I'm 5ft 11" and 170 pounds and it supports my weight with no problems and I can lie comfortably at its length. The only issue I have 3 stars is that the ends of the hammock seem to be held in place with a continuous piece of string (at each end) that threads them through the grommets on the hammock. The cord is knotted around the end (where it forms a loop where it attaches to a tree/pole) but the knot isn't really secure or tight enough that after a few…

Works fine but it's so tight!

I bought this for a hike we did in Georgia 4 years ago. It worked well on the trip and has held up well since then, but unfortunately it's very small. I bought this before I started reading Derek Hansen's blog, so I didn't realize the importance of width. I'm a tall male at 6ft 4", but my shorter wife and brothers tried it and agreed it was too tight. For the best, most horizontal sleeping position, you should lie at an angle, not in the curve of a hammock. Lying in a curve can become…

Durable and cheap! (but in a good way)

Bought as a gift and installed. I don't make "tools" so I originally wanted a hammock on one of those fancy bases, but it was way more than I was willing to spend. I decided to bite the bullet and take a chance with Home Depot. I found hooks that would allow the hammock to swing from side to side (swing hooks?) and a good solid chain for only $20. After a lot of drilling, swearing, and general installation problems, I was ready to install my hammock. Without even realizing what I was doing, I…

Quality product, rope asymmetry over time, too big for folding stand

I bought this a few months ago to treat back pain and joint stiffness caused by lying on a regular mattress. I've slept inside in it probably thirty times. A few thoughts: * This type of hammock is far preferable to those with struts. It's more comfortable, hugs your body and is much more difficult to fall out or roll over.* This hammock is designed for people up to 18m tall. I'm a bit taller and found them a bit short for general use. Still, physically, it's quite a long time. I have a large…
