🍸 Protect Your Surfaces in Style with Thirstystone Multicolor Stoneware Coasters (Set of 4) Review

I already have coasters but when I saw them I thought I could use more! Wonderful design, goes well with the dark spot of the table. The holder is just icing on the cake! I am very happy with these coasters - I would buy them again!

I just received them and I'm very excited. I bought them together with a coffee table with a world map. Haven't tried too many of these yet so can't speak on absorbency but they are very thick, nice and durable. Shipping took a long time but they arrived 6 days before the estimated date I was given at checkout so that's a plus.

Terrible coasters. I ended up placing a rag between the glass and the coaster while the water pooled on the stone. The coasters rose with the glass, then fell with a crash and shattered. I have now glued 3 of the 4 together, with chips and parts of the picture missing. They looked nice, but they're worse than useless.

I used to have sandstone coasters and liked them because they absorb condensation, which keeps the glass and table surfaces clean. However, these sandstone coasters do not absorb much of the liquid. I believe and assume that the problem lies in how they apply the image. This prevents the sandstone from doing its job. I wouldn't do it again.

This is a really nice set of large coasters with a lovely warm and rich cartographic pattern. The holder is a bronze roller that holds the coasters perfectly. The holder has felt feet that protect it from scratching surfaces. The coasters are covered with cork and look good. The set arrived well packaged, no chips, scratches or damage. I am very happy with it and would recommend for personal use or as a gift.

Appears fake (not Thirstystone - no logo on bottom), chipped, non-absorbent. The design is applied in a non-porous layer which would prevent absorption even if the 'stone' could absorb some). Real Thirstystone has the look and texture of sandstone and is porous enough to absorb the condensation from cold drinks. This is a flat board chipped straight out of the box. Adequate in the sense that you can drink to it, but that's not what you'd expect from Thirstystone.

The design on it is not as clear or dark as the product images, and the lighter details on the product image are completely faded and almost impossible to see. personally on the product. That being said, it's still a beautiful design and a good product! The coasters are heavier than I expected and the holder is really pretty! As long as you remember it is not identical to the product images I would recommend this product to anyone considering it.

The base is a good weight and will hold 4 stands securely and prevent them from "moving" on the surface of the table. My only complaint is that one of the coasters had a small chip on it when it was unpacked. Fraud Alert: This is a fake. These stones are advertised as Thirstystone. (Thirstystone: Thirstystone Events pottery coaster with holder, including map of the Old World) This is a cheap copy. The stones arrived shattered and liquids drained from the stone instead of being absorbed into it. The image is easy to erase. i give them back It's a shame that so many fakes are currently being sold on Revain. I really like their design. However, there is one major downside. The surface is varnished - as a glossy, fully sealed varnish. This completely defeats the purpose of using absorbent sandstone. Water just accumulates at the top and is not absorbed at all. I've considered gently sanding the surface with a wire brush to make tiny holes in the paint down to the sandstone, but I'm afraid I might ruin the picture or the stone. Seems like they can fix it in production by drawing at a lower resolution
