Not the best option for overlock

I was referred here for my overlock issues and I'm not impressed. They may be better for hand sewing, but at the moment I'm not getting the right tension on my machine with this thread.

  • Easy installation

False advertising is best in sewing

I really need to show a more realistic photo of this thread. It looks big in the picture but the spools are small, more like a small spool of embroidery thread. The coil is 2 inches high and 1 inch wide. I don't even want to bother threading my serger because I'll run out of thread when the thread goes so fast and have to rethread the machine and we all know how fun that is (no). I'll try to post a photo when I figure out how to do it.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Negative is available

Very strong thread. Used on a sewing machine but kept breaking. Asked a local sewing machine dealer and they said that due to the thickness of the thread I would need to use a larger needle instead of a general purpose needle. Now sewing is much better. Do not use this thread with ordinary universal needles, the ears are too small, be careful. Otherwise the yarn turned out exactly as I expected and now it works perfectly with the new needle.

Pros
  • Embroidery thread
Cons
  • Large and thick

I love this topic though.

I would give this product 5 stars but with use I have noticed that the thread is not continuous on some spools. By this I mean that the thread is not a continuous thread, but breaks in different places. I've seen on a spool where the threads are not connected. Sometimes when I use or sew over my serger this problem forces me to start over which sometimes leaves a less than desirable look so I have to cancel and start over. I really like the size of the spools and the quality of the threads…

Strong thread but often breaks

This ThreadNanny black and white 3-ply polyester sewing quilt thread is strong but often breaks. I can't find my usual brand of filament in stock. They are supplied in a box of 10 spools of thread, 1000 meters per spool. You will receive 5 white spools and 5 black spools. The coils are short and thick, so don't be surprised. They do however contain the stated amount of thread and I prefer the shorter spools for storage and use on the sewing machine. This is a 100% polyester thread which I…

Cons
  • No performance
