My ThruNite TT20 Review

THE GOOD:This flashlight appears to be well constructed, with nice machining & finish. I really like the beam pattern. I first ordered a T2 model, but found it to be too much of a floodlight. The T2 was very good for lighting up rooms indoors, but fell short outdoors. The T20 has a hot center that throws very far, & a nice lower-intensity spread of light. It’s a great compromise since it works both for indoor & outdoor use. There is one additional thing I really like about this flashlight -- that

Pros
  • Very good EDC and useful light! Low is still bright enough to be useful!
Cons
  • The momentary-on tail switch may be difficult to use for some users

best light best in my review

The TT20 is an awesome flashlight with a lot of lumens and more than 250 m throw .I like the USB-C FAST CHARGING - Built-in TYPE-C charging port . This will be my EDC flashlight . I prefer the TT20 infinity high and low mode than the stepped mode of other flashlight. This is hands down the best flashlight I have ever owned. Small yet very powerful! I like that it has dual switches, and the tail switch will go straight into turbo mode. This is a well thought out light that I'd recommend to…

Pros
  • Handheld Flashlights
Cons
  • The flashlight may not have a long enough beam distance for some users

Hot flashlight, sensitive button

Bought this light months ago for work inspecting vehicles. I love the dimming and brightening smart switch, and the turbo mode that I rarely use. Just found out today that the turbo mode is in fact hot and bright enough to burn leaves, paper, bugs, etc. So that's cool. Only two reasons I dropped a a star are due to the sensitivity of the side button, as it sometimes turns on in my pocket while I'm bending and squatting, and gets hot there. Which I just rotate and mostly get rid of the issue…

Pros
  • Flashlight has awesome brightness is durability & is a great value for money !
Cons
  • There may be lower-priced options with similar features available

Battery is cheap and dies over night

First the good:Good brightness.Ability to adjust brightness.Reasons I won't buy again:Battery dies over night every night, so I'm forced to keep it on the charger when it isn't in use in order to know it'll work when I need it.Warranty policy is pretty weak. All things considered at this price point the cons outweigh the pros.TL/DR: Good light, but horrible battery life and poor warranty policy.

Pros
  • VERSATILE MODES - Includes a range of brightness levels from an infinitely high down to a very dim "firefly mode" and a strobe setting for emergencies. A dual-direction clip provides easy access for every day tasks!
Cons
  • The flashlight may not be as durable as other comparable products

First impressions good for me

I'll start off an say it's very bright my previous light was a olight warrior X I had it for a about 2 years I work maintenance in a factory so a good bright light is a must for me the olight was more of a spot light witch I wasn't a fan for this thrunight tt20 has a beautiful flood light nice well rounded with a good size hot spot seems almost perfect. The only reason I am giving it a 3 stars is due to the clip the very first time I sat in the car with this on my belt the clip came completely…

Pros
  • ‎Battery Powered
Cons
  • The flashlight may not be intuitive to use in an emergency situation

TT20 IS A Boss! in my review

I have the Thrunite TT20 in the Desert Tan color and it has quickly become my favorite large (18650 or bigger) flashlight. I love everything about this bad boy. The design and overall look of the light is very nice and the anodizing is spot on. The knurling on the grip feels great in your hand and the size is perfect. Type C- charging puts you back in business in roughly 2 hrs. and run times are good. Be aware: this light does take a proprietary battery that has BOTH positive & negative…

Pros
  • ‎2 years.
Cons
  • The flashlight may be too expensive for some budget-conscious consumers

If your looking for a great bright flashlight with great battery life and is durable along with a good price this is it the light functions just as well or better than any olight, Fenix, nitecore, streamlight, and etc. But for a way better price

Pros
  • Bright enough for walking dogs at night.
Cons
  • The price point is relatively high compared to similar products

Excellent quality for a great price

I’ve gotten a couple flashlights from Thrunite and I am always very satisfied. It amazes me that they can make small compact flashlights so bright.

Pros
  • ‎TT20 DT CW
Cons
  • The flashlight may not provide enough light for certain activities

Beautiful aesthetic, but not being able to use any 21700 battery other than the proprietary Thrunite battery really ruined this light completely , forces it to be a paper weight in the future when the company does not make this "customized " cell anymoreNo one likes proprietary batteries Thrunite, do better !

Pros
  • Flashlights
Cons
  • The flashlight may not have a long enough warranty

Very unhappy/not a good EDC light

So, I have been carrying this light for about 4 months. I was disappointed right out of the gate because of the side control button/switch. In oder to use the tail switch you have to leave the side button unlocked. This results in the the light being turned on unintentionally when in your pocket and of course draining the battery. The only option is to lock the buttons, and then having to tap the side button three times and then hold it down in order to use the tail switch. Not practical what…

Carry with situational awareness

I’ve been carrying this flashlight for about a month now, works great I haven’t had any mechanical issues. I did however almost catch myself on fire when I accidentally turned the rear switch on with it in the belt holster. At the time I was on a us navy ship and when I smelled smoke I thought the ship might be on fire, turned out that the light had started burning through/melting the holster. I will add pictures at a later date. Other than that great experience so far with the light, the…

Good light, but…….: my feedback

This light is extremely bright and held a charge good. However it got extremely hot really fast. I don’t know if mine was defective or are they all get that hot. I was concerned it wouldn’t last because of this so I returned it.

Pros
  • La batería no le dura la suficiente y se sobre calienta mucho, pero tiene buena potencia le luz
Cons
  • The flashlight may be too complex for some users to use effectively

It was awesome until it wasn't.

Flashlight was incredible for about 8 months, exactly as expected, and then. One fateful night on watch on CVN-74 deep in the belly of the boat I smell an acrid odor. ELECTRIC FIRE. I start to investigate to find the fires location, my nose is leading the way. Everywhere I run the smell clears up, then I stop and boom its back. 2 minutes into looking for it I see the white smoke, it's me. My light is burning a hole through the holster. Turns out it turns on whenever it wants now so I have to…

Piece of junk battery wise. Charge last less than a week.

Battery is junk. Even though I turn off the switch so that it can't be automatically turned battery lasts less than a week at work. Junk

Cons

Bright light but very poorly made

I bought two of these lights, one for me and one for my dad. I’m a mechanic so I bought what I thought was a durable light but nope. I dropped mine from a couple feet up and it immediately started not functioning properly. Like the others who have dropped theirs, it started turning on and off at the highest brightness randomly and later would stop holding a charge and working all together. My dads light was not dropped or used for very long before it alltogether quit charging and working all…
