Perfect for Honda CRX DX '89

Perfect for Honda CRX DX '89. No couplings required. Simply cut the pipe, insert and clamp! Store the knee tube so it can get out of the car. A good volume boost, but not uncomfortable! Exactly where I want!

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other parts

Good deep sound

Exactly as in the description. Good sound with low frequencies. But it doesn't do much for noise reduction. Not as loud as some Harleys, but quite noisy under heavy loads. I would probably recommend a longer pack. Installed on 77 MGB (1800cc) stock headers.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Best muffler for the money (if you have small exhaust pipes)

Best muffler for small exhaust systems. I got this for my 97 Saturn Sl2 after my stock muffler rotted. The noise was quieter than without the silencer, but still has an aggressive tone and good sound. Better than the 3 inch tip ones, which sound like someone aggressively farting into a metal pipe.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Weight

The only thing I don't like about it is

I screwed this suction cup onto my 4A-FE Geo Prizm and it hums! The only thing I don't really like is that the metal is too strong for the exhaust clamps so I couldn't get the metal to press against the pipe. My solution was to just use thinner metal sleeves for clamping. But complaining that the metal is "too strong" for the clamp is actually pretty silly. I think this is considered a good problem!

  • Certified
Cons
  • Only available in white

A good mod for the classic MGB resto.

The original exhaust system on my 1969 MGB Gt consists of a resonator (in the middle of the car) and a silencer. The engine on this car is a small 1800 four cylinder and I've read complaints that it can sound a bit weak with the stock exhaust. As I have a resonator and need a new silencer I tried this glass pack (as recommended on the MGB forum) as a cheaper alternative. With the original resonator and this silencer, the car has a pleasant, dull but hoarse sound. It might be a little louder…

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Older model

An old favorite, still durable

The weight of that heavy and thick-walled steel construction, not the rolled tinfoil crap you see today. The only downer is the color, which fades shortly after installation. . When you put it on a car, it doesn't matter (how many times you or someone else looks under your car to admire it). High temperature paint on the manifold will fix the imperfections, I recommend the chrome version instead of the bike paint if you like beauty. . You'll have to retune some carburetors and change the…
