Review on ๐ฅ Optimized Thrush 24210 Performance Exhaust Muffler by Dan West
A good mod for the classic MGB resto.
The original exhaust system on my 1969 MGB Gt consists of a resonator (in the middle of the car) and a silencer. The engine on this car is a small 1800 four cylinder and I've read complaints that it can sound a bit weak with the stock exhaust. As I have a resonator and need a new silencer I tried this glass pack (as recommended on the MGB forum) as a cheaper alternative. With the original resonator and this silencer, the car has a pleasant, dull but hoarse sound. It might be a little louder than the original, but it's by no means obnoxious - just enough to remind you that you're driving a vintage petrol engine.
