Works great, holds large pieces of bread and bagels, nothing sticks out! I make sourdough and it toasts faster than my old toaster! I use this every day! I smelled it at first, but I was ready for it - turn it up to the max and turn it down three times, ready for toast! Remember. Start on a low setting and work your way up to your desired tan, it heats up quickly! Rather than searching again for which one to buy, I would buy this one!

This is a really good 2 slot toaster for the price. Solidly built, runs smoothly, small button on the front makes it easy to adjust the browning level. It has 6 levels for toasting. Tans evenly on both sides, unlike my other one (which costs three times as much). The crumb tray at the bottom is easy to clean and wide enough to catch all crumbs. The main function is there and it only takes a few seconds to make a perfect toast no matter what food you are toasting.

I've had it for a few days. I've used it multiple times for English muffins, waffles, and pop tarts. Almost everything burns down. I also noticed a very strong burning smell when using it, but thought it was just a "new" smell. I noticed tonight that the plastic on the top of the toaster is melting. Of course I threw away all the packaging this morning, so I'll probably just throw it away. I don't really feel safe with that. sigh.

The first toaster was burnt #4 toast. Ordered a second one and it worked great on #1-4 for a while. Now #4 is burning the toast and I have to reduce it to 2. Anything over 4 and you have black toast. We love the design of this toaster. The only thing that worries us is that on the 30th day the toaster stopped working. We put the toast and push the lever down and it doesn't hold. Now that I've had it a long time, it works great. However, the smell of industrial oil warned about in the manual does not go away as quickly as claimed. I ended up running it without bread 5 times in a row for 2 days and even then there was a noticeable odor which thankfully didn't transfer to the bread. For the price I thought I would get a better toaster than my old one. But now I wish my old one hadn't blown. This toaster is suitable for regular, store-bought bread. It cooks evenly and you don't have to fiddle. However, I am a person who loves toaster frozen waffles and this is definitely not a good toaster for those.
