Toggle anchor installs behind 3/8"- to 3-5/8"-thick hollow materials including gypsum board, drywall, and concrete block to provide a secure hold from within the mounting material. Anchor affixes to the wall before adding the bolt and fixture, allowing one-person installation and fixture changes. Made in USA, and works with 3/16"-24 UNC-threaded metal bolts (sold separately). Ultimate tensile strength is 238 lb. in 1/2" drywall and 802 lb. in concrete block with a 3/16"-24 UNC bolt. Use one-fourth or less of listed maximum values for safe working loads (as required by local regulations).

Too bad this was developed a long time ago.

This is one of those products that "REALLY comes in handy". or "Why didn't I think of that?" Perfect for those pesky drywall jobs and holds a lot of weight. There was some difficulty finding the screws. Home Depot only sells 3/16 2" bolts with other traditional shifting mechanisms. Luckily, 10x24 screws will also fit, but make sure you buy two inches or longer. Unfortunately, they don't come in boxes or in bulk at Home Depot either. to buy in packs of 4. Update: Buy these #10x24 x 2/12s fromโ€ฆ

BEST drywall anchor!

The best drywall anchor on the market. I'm about if not more than 1000 pounds. hanging on a wall EVERYTHING in drywall! When I started hanging them (see picture) I came across a metal hairpin on the second one. I thought great, that would be even better. Single sided drywall anchor, single sided metal anchor. Lift the box and the side with the hairpin rips out the screw! For the rest of the installation I just made sure to go through the drywall. Each leg under each side of each box only has aโ€ฆ

Excellent product, strong, the base is mounted without a screw. Rescuer.

They work great and are said to be very durable. They are installed without a screw and you can install the screw later. Lifer saver for my needs. ProsEasyStrongBacker installs without a screw. minuses. You'll need a little more room behind the mounting surface than folded in half if that's important to you. I needed to attach a 2x4 to a hardboard with no access to the back of the hardboard. The liquid nails didn't work as they just ripped off the surface of the hardboard. They fit easily intoโ€ฆ
