Shaft twisted on first use

The first time I used it with my 8 amp drill the shaft twisted. If you need a working one, look for a Stedea with a 1/2" shank. It's a few dollars more expensive, but it won't fall apart. Once the shaft twists, everything goes out of balance and is utterly useless. Look at the pictures, they should be straight lines. Using it on a smaller drill press will get you nowhere. Use it on a decent power drill, it spins.

Not up to the task.

Purchased to drill holes in 13" masonry with a 4" dry drill bit. About halfway through, the core seemed to wobble. I removed the chisel and found that the shank on this adapter was deformed (twisted) from the torsional action of drilling and was also slightly bent. I have not used this on a hardcore core drill. I used a Milwaukee Plumbers hand drill. The material "succumbed" and irrevocably deformed by simple manual drilling. I must say that the material this adapter is made of does not have…

Not suitable for large crowns

Not suitable for large crowns. If you're looking for heavy-duty drilling, get the AD1112 bit adapter. If the drill gets stuck and the drill jerks, the adapter can bend, causing the drill to wobble and rendering the adapter completely unusable. Bit out of the hole and dip it in water to cool the bit. The deeper the hole gets, the easier it is to get kickback when the drill is restarted and then it will bend the shank. I think it can be used with a 4 inch angle grinder wire brush. Not sure why I…
