These "quick release" clips are my favorite clips for pretty much any project/job. Was frustrated when the pads broke after more than a million uses (not the fault of the clamps). Presto! New pads and clamps like new - very happy with the camper!
lost a lot of pads, saved a lot of money moving, many now replaced, lost due to moving. bought several packs, very happy with the company, the rubber is not easy to scratch, put them on regular clips, not just my Irwins
I have other brands of clamps and none of them break pads. My Irwin clamps suffered from pad rot. They cracked and fell out of the collar. These pads are similar to the original pads on the clip. Either use these replacement gaskets or discard the clips. Quickgrip makes a good clamp.
They're not quite the same as the old yellow ones, but they work great. They're black and made of a harder plastic, but they'll protect and hold anything you clamp down on. They're nearly 2 inches long and snap into place. The ones I replaced are yellow, softer plastic, about 2.25 inches, and snap on. They fit well and saved me from buying new clamps.
I bought these to replace my XP 600 series pads. I was disappointed but glad to get new brackets. I found these pads after a little searching. In this section of reviews I didn't find anyone mentioning which ones would definitely fit. So I ordered a set just to check the sizing, I mean they seemed to fit ok. When they arrived I could see that I had bought the right ones or at least found the ones I needed. Happy to report how good and snug they fit except for the lasts which I need for my work.
I have twenty year old Irwin Quick Grip industrial clamps. Rubber seals had to be changed several times a year. However the last two times I've bought them I can't even use them for a week before they fall off again. They're made of a denser rubber, almost plastic, and just don't hold up like the old originals.
Couldn't find any genuine replacement washers (yellow) designed for my old 24" clamps, not even IRWIN sells them. I've tried them, because I thought they might be pretty close and was very pleasantly surprised. They don't "slip" like the originals, but they "snap" in place and are very close to the exact size. Definitely tight enough that they don't fall off.Very happy with them.
I have an old Irwin Quick-Grip with yellow pads that needed replacing. I took the chance to see if they would work. When I received these pads I doubted they would work as they were about 1/4" narrower than the original pads. But I found that they actually fit my clamps but cover a smaller area, which I was initially concerned about seemed good. After storing them with the yoke closed for about a month, the pads stuck together and then detached from the yoke when I let go of the yoke. That's…
