Quality feeling - hand tool

Please read the description. I haven't read it in full. and it's my fault. I haven't found a real need for this product on the cars I work on. But I'll keep it in case I need it.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Expensive

By far my favorite clamps.

Outstanding universal clamp pliers. I have some custom pliers but I use them 90% of the time. Well built. Bought a second set and colleagues also bought after using mine.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • old

How could I not know they existed? 100% .

how could I not know that they exist? Cable clamps are 100% easier to install and remove, especially in tight spaces. I've been repairing devices for 4-5 years now and it's fantastic.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Will not fit universal clamps

These pliers will only fit certain size clamps or they will slip off (in my experience with Hyundai they will not fit most clamps). The groove that catches the clamp must be set further forward with pliers.

Pros
  • As far as satisfied
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Life saving on power tools and hand tools

As an AG engineer, these things have saved me so much time. I started a job where I had to remove and reinstall 12 clamps in a hard to reach area. Tried other tongs, only 3 in 45 minutes. A buddy had a pair and it was done in 10 minutes. Had to order a pair and use them a few times.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • So So

Great pliers - sliding pliers

Of course you can remove the spring clamp with regular pliers but why bother with sliding clamps and risk cutting your hose or your finger. a very useful tool if you do anything to the car (read: change air filter, which requires removing the air supply hose).

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Clamp Pliers - Hand Tool

I have had a variety of clamp pliers since the 1970's. Rigid steel ring clamps (I don't remember the trade name) always caused difficulty in removal. My old pliers slipped and tended to produce a lot of awkward expressions. These tongs are strong as a rock. Each clamp only took about 15 seconds to compress and attach. Where have you been all my life?

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Drill Pack

Save time and nerves!

I needed to replace (6) hoses on an old John Deere tractor. These are 12 small wire clips in hard-to-reach places. It took me a few hours to remove them with regular pliers. I figured there must be a better way. After a long search I found this tool. Wow, it's not even spreading. I reinstalled all 6 hoses with these pliers in less than 20 minutes! Best twenty bucks I've spent in a long time!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Buy Channellock 558 instead

The best way to tell is that they are functional. I've used them with 5/8" to 3/4" single wire spring clips. They have a lot of "play" between the two halves around the hinge, making it very difficult to fully compress the spring clips when the entire tool is basically twisted off. For the same price, buy the channellock version of this tool (the I own one too.) They are made in the USA and smell much higher quality in terms of fit and finish.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions
