Looks very sturdy with a very strong clip. This product should last forever. All 4 items are unique as they match skin color + metal color differently as shown in the photo. It easily and firmly holds a regular sized grip, but a grip with a grip pad will not fit through. I kept one for myself and gave away 3. It looks like it would work as a baseball cap top - great for golfers and construction workers (FYI, the pen holder they sell to those folks is $10 each and isn't even leather).

They look like quality products. They have a certain weight, which is nice and makes them feel more premium. The skin is soft but not loose. I use it to hold a gel pen on my notepad and it doesn't slide around much but easily fits a thicker pen. I like gold and brown more than silver and black so I wish they would offer different sets rather than a mix. They also serve as toys for cats. My cats chew on them like crazy and I have to push them away regularly to keep them from completely ruining…

The name says 'leather pen holder' but it's not leather. The inside of the pen tray is like fleece and you can clearly see that it's faux leather on the outside. It would be nice if they pointed this out somewhere. I even went back to look at the description to see if I missed it, but no, it wasn't there. I'm surprised no one mentioned it in the review.
