Toshiba DVR610 Upconverting Tunerless Recorder Review

I bought this unit to transfer VHS home video to DVD. I'm not interested in fancy edits, headlines, or transitions. I just want the video to be copied directly to DVD. I bought this unit to copy old VHS tapes to DVD. I have about 200 VHS tapes to copy and this is my third attempt at finding good gear to work with. My first attempt was with separate devices, a JVC HR-S5975EK Super VHS VCR (very rare) and an RCA DVR device. The RCA DVR burned out after about 30 discs and was extremely difficult to use.
