I was expecting the bag to hold a full bale of hay like in the photo. But that's not the case. It holds up a little less which is a big pain to break the bunion. I needed it for 1 full bale and had no real use in the way it is (slightly smaller). I think the image is misleading without a clear explanation, although admittedly I didn't fully consider the dimensions given. I immediately ordered a large, full bale bag and am very happy with it! I ordered one to test. arrived and appeared to be well made and did what I wanted. Control some hay loss, not all but it reduces the number of animals eating off the ground and getting berries in their mouths along with hay :) My biggest complaint is that after getting the first one I ordered more four and two of the four are half the size of the first one I ordered! Terrible quality control and I really wonder why they are so much smaller since they have the same UPC etc. I attach pictures…

Just received one of the two bags I bought (why Revain sent them in separate boxes is a mystery). The description says "practically large" so I bought it but it's very small. I don't think it's 42 inches (I'll measure and update my post). It only holds about 5-6 pounds of hay. The average horse eats 15-20 pounds a day. I will contact Revain to try and return another one when it arrives. It appears to be well made and would be suitable for small horses and ponies or those that feed small amounts

I have been using this product for a few months now and thought it was time to write a review. At first I was very disappointed with this hay net. Looking back, I wasn't sure why, but if I had to guess, it would have been the long rope that tied him. It often got in the way and I found myself hitting it and tripping because of its length. I have bought many different slow feeders. This one is definitely my favourite. Even the more expensive ones. It holds over half an 80 pound bale of hay after being stretched and broken. He is durable. We've used it for a while and it shows little or no horse wear. The only recommendation I have to make to make it easier to open and close is to cut the rope that comes with it and use a thicker rope (we used a smaller rope) to tie the holes and it's a lot less of a hassle.
