Amazing Spaceship for Networking Products

For those of you who have been waiting all these years for an access point that doubles as a flying saucer, I have great news for you: the wait is over! Unfortunately, I just wanted to upgrade my Omada hotspots to Wi-Fi 6 without a spaceship upgrade, so unfortunately I had to return them :(

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Updates Available

The speed is about 1/2 of the specified.

Pros: Easy setup with the Omada controller app, lots of control options for beginners and I think the pros are the same. Cons: Speed is slower than advertised, about 1/2. TP Link support said this is normal. Overall, Wi-Fi speed and range were disappointing. I'll try the EAP660 to see if it's an improvement. Others think this is a big deal.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • High price

Excellent WAP - Wireless Hotspots

As we added devices to our network, our old hotspot started to get overloaded. (Our computers and other devices would randomly disconnect from WiFi, bandwidth was low, and the device itself would report from time to time that it didn't have enough RAM or that it had an overloaded CPU). below) with two of these devices and I get much better performance, faster connects/reconnects and no signal dropouts. Couldn't be happier.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Easy programming and quick installation

Replaced 5 access points in the hotel. They are connected to the Guest Interest GIS-R10 controller. Simple plug-in for quick installation. The signal provides good coverage in about 3 rooms on either side of the AP and 3 rooms above and below, for a total of 9 rooms per AP. I've tried the Omada TP-Link controller but it doesn't seem possible anymore to broadcast the SSID to uninstall the controller software. Good software features like built-in bandwidth control. Dual 2.4+5G available, or youโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice packaging

Goodbye Hello TP Link from Unifi AP!

I recently purchased two UniFi WiFi 6 access points for home use. I used to have a UniFi AP Lite and wanted to upgrade to WiFi 6 to get those amazing speeds. Unifi Wifi6 hotspots are terrible to use. I went through the initial setup and left everything at default and recommendations. I ran a speed test and I didn't get any WiFi speed improvements from AP Lite. I had about 250-300 Mbit/s. I have 1Gbps downlink/uplink and am getting about 940 downlink/uplink on wired connections. I've been goingโ€ฆ

A custom monster!

To be clear, my company is an authorized TP-Link reseller and we can source them through our supply chain. Didn't want to mess with it and unless we order in bulk Revain has the lowest prices. I have installed them in warehouses, hotels, manufacturing plants and many companies. I haven't even set this thing up properly, and I'm getting a stronger signal from it in the basement than from the router directly above me (router on the ground floor, this WAP on the second floor, sitting on a tableโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Protection

When it works, it works almost as well as a half price block.

In short, I switched to the TP-Link EAP225 and I'm _very_ happy at half the price. My old EAP245v1 was reliable, there were several spots in the house it couldn't reach. and it doesn't work with the new TP-Link control software, so I decided to update it. Since the EAP620 was on sale I bought two thinking I could upgrade to the new Omada SDN management software and get coverage everywhere. It worked fine for my laptops and phones. For anything that had a USB Wi-Fi adapter, like my media players

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Dismal hardware
