Great Job TP-Link!: Wall Switch

Finally, a 3-position smart switch from TP-Link! I've been waiting for them for a long time and bought the set the first day they became available. This is my 30th TP-Link Smart Switch/Plug and they never disappoint! The HS210 3 position switch kit is very easy to install with the Kasa app. It walks you through the installation step by step and reminds you to take a picture of all the marked wires before you unplug the old switches. Configuring your Wi-Fi network is very simple, just like yourโ€ฆ

I had to install both switches

For the product itself, it's fantastic. I've installed a single bar before and it worked great so I jumped onto this 3 strip version when I saw the recent price drop. My only wish is that it works natively with Samsung Smartthings (now that I've jumped into that pool too). For now I'm happy with the Kasa app and control my lights via Google/Alexa. The main reason I want to write this review is to provide another data point in the "Do you need to set both switches" question. Unfortunately I hadโ€ฆ

When I first bought it, I had questions that were only answered after the installation. No matter you buy in 1 pack or 2 packs, you don't need to install 2 switches in the same 3-way circuit, these WiFi switches work with regular 3-way and 4-way switches in the same chains, it just will a wireless switch is required for each chain. Wiring: Read about 3 and 4 circuits to understand what 2-way wires are, a load/line wire, and how to place 4 position switches in the middle of a circuit. 3-bandโ€ฆ
