One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

I had a different problem, everything worked well under Windows 10 (the OS itself registered its drivers), but with every reboot it connected to Wi-Fi, but there was no Internet. I had to manually unhook from Wi-Fi and re-hook to get the Internet. There were no drivers on the Tp-link site, but downloading not the driver, but the TL-WN821N_V4_Utility utility from the official site helped. Through it, I installed native drivers and the problem disappeared!

Pros
  • Simplicity, cost, speed
Cons
  • There are no drivers for Windows 10 (the drivers of the OS itself were constantly buggy, see comment)

A normal product, but they wanted more for the money.

I re-read a bunch of information on the Internet, from which the Internet on a wi-fi adapter can disappear, nothing helped. in my case, on windows 10 on 17 computers with 17 adapters, and this is clearly a trend. Helped: Connecting the adapter through the extension cord that came with the kit. All connection problems and signal loss are gone. Can someone help and save nerves and time

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • Internet keeps dropping out

Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

First I took TP-LINK TL-WN723N. He has a constant disconnection, the speed is scanty (even sites were loaded for 5 minutes), the ping disappeared! No dancing with tambourines and installing firewood from various sources helped. Decided to give up and take something else. I chose for a long time. Decided to try TP-LINK TL-WN821N. A minute of installation, everything flies, without interruptions! I'm pleasantly shocked! Firewood put from a disk. I highly recommend to everyone.

Pros
  • - N 300 - price for N 300 - a powerful receiver (very important for me, because the router is located far behind several walls). And that's without an external antenna. - keeps in touch - quickly connects at system startup - easy to install (it took me a minute to install)
Cons
  • Haven't found it yet

Nightmarish quality and complete inconsistency with the description.

used DWA-140 for 8 years, not a single complaint, gave everything to the maximum, accordingly I bought what is available from this company, now I regret it, the speed is 3 times lower, whether the firewood was installed by default, or the ated ones rolled up, while the software did not immediately put, after installing Windows, I had to ate Windows before the firewood got up, ping at 300-700ms is pipets. highly do not recommend, only frustration

Pros
  • more convenient DWA-140
Cons
  • the speed cuts 3 times, it's terrible, the router is installed in the visibility zone, you can say opposite the system unit, it gives out a maximum of 30mb, the average ping is 300-700ms

The item is very cool, it could be worse.

As a Wi-Fi receiver, the computer will go as an access point for distribution, for example, 4G from a computer - one hemorrhoids. With its pros. The reception works tolerably, at home through 4 walls it receives at a speed of 3 Mbps, in a room with a Wi-Fi point the speed is 60 Mbps. Got cons: It does not work well as an access point, it does not always distribute normally, for example, a laptop sees it, connects to the network, but there is no Internet. Did not like. Drivers are installed…

I should have looked better, I spent money on an ordinary product.

Everything works fine and is caught, but there is a fat minus: I took it to the computer and as soon as you start loading it with a torrent or downloading games through launchers, it stupidly falls off and you have to remove it from USB and insert it again. Otherwise, you can forget about the Internet. In short, for surfing or in general just to be in touch - it is quite suitable. For more serious work - I do not advise EXTREMELY, spend a couple of hundred more, but take anything, but not…

Pros
  • Ease of use, value for money
Cons
  • increased ping, Internet dumps under load

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

I had to buy and use a longer USB extension cable. Pros below: Fast connection, stable connection, good speed. At a distance of 10 m from the router and through 2 partitions - the speed is ~ 60% of the cable connection speed. The adapter works 1.5 years. There are no complaints about the hardware. Cons below: Important! For the V4 version adapter in Windows 10, use the drivers from TP-LINK from 09/28/12. Windows 10, after each system ate, EACH TIME installs its regular driver from the Microsoft

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

I came across revision 4 on a Realtec rtl8192cu chip (earlier ones on Atheros). Tested on Windows 7 x64 and Ubuntu. Windows 7: Works great, connection speed is 300 Mb/s. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS: Works out of the box with built-in driver, shows 150 Mb/s connection speed, no problems. Ubuntu 132022 (latest at the moment): Works out of the box with a built-in driver, shows a connection speed of 150 Mb / s, but in fact the transfer speed is very low and unstable, about one and a half megabits. Failed…

Pros
  • Two built-in antennas and MIMO support, high connection speed, compact size, low price.
Cons
  • There may be problems with the driver in Linux.

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

I have an ASUS laptop on Windows 8, which constantly "falls off" the Wi-Fi receiver at the software level and disappears even in the settings, so restoring, reinstalling drivers, etc. each time required a lot of effort, but not for long. I decided to hang this adapter on the laptop - it worked immediately after installing the driver. But what is most interesting - after that, the "built-in" Wi-Fi was restored and connected in the laptop and no longer disappears !

Pros
  • The long USB cable included in the kit allows you to move only the adapter in space to find the best reception if the router is far away or behind thick walls. Good sensitivity. After installing the native driver on W8, it does not require any settings, it works immediately upon connection.
Cons
  • It was installed on Windows 7 with a small tambourine, I had to look for advice on the net.

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

Bought for a desktop PC for work. It works, no manipulations were required, I inserted a USB flash drive, entered the WiFi password and that's it. The kit comes with a disk with firewood, instructions for different operating systems and a usb-micro usb cable, in case there is no usb port in the computer, that's just one point with the adapter, it is not compatible in any way))) the adapter does not have a micro output, but to the usb port wires cannot be inserted into the adapter, since it is…

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

After buying a computer, the question arose of how to connect the Internet, the apartment was rented and it was not possible to drill the walls. I decided to buy this adapter and was very pleased with the purchase. WiFi router is in the entrance, through two walls and the room the maximum signal level. More attention! It works immediately when connected to a computer, but the connection is not very stable, the network is constantly lost and falls off. Be sure to install the drivers, even though

Pros
  • signal strength, connection stability, cable extension, miniature view.
Cons
  • Didn't find

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

Here they write that it does not work, does not connect, problems with drivers, etc., etc. Nonsense complete! drivers on the disk in the package for 2022/XP/VISTA, drivers for Win7 on the manufacturer's website, everything is installed and works without problems. Install only drivers, then there will be no problems in software compatibility. Regarding the speed, do not forget about the speed on the router itself, if it does not have the N 8022022n standard, then you will never have a speed of…

Pros
  • A good USB module for WI-FI, the N (8022022n) communication standard, clings to all routers without problems, an extension cable for usb is included, it keeps the speed of 300 without problems.
Cons
  • Not

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

This adapter can be used for both distribution and reception of the Internet. How to do already wrote here already wrote. I did, everything worked. In general, I took it for a laptop, in which only the g protocol has its own adapter. Those. the speed is not more than 54 Mbps, this adapter has a speed of 300 Mbps, and everything works. With its pros. 1. Convenient USB holder included. 2. Declared 300 Mbit holds. On the internal network, the download speed reached about 7-8 MB 3. Plugged it in

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

My parents live outside the city and asked me to provide Internet on a PC, which I gave them. The first idea is to distribute wi-fi from a smartphone (it catches 4g), and insert a wi-fi adapter into the PC (there is no built-in one). Having studied the offers on the market, the choice fell on this model (good price-performance ratio). Bought for 590. Then unpleasant dances began with a tambourine when installing drivers and setting up . The first surprise was that the drivers were not on a…

Pros
  • -price; -works good; - good performance for the money.
Cons
  • - Difficulties in installation and configuration.

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

It was purchased home for a personal computer, it completely fulfills its task, keeps the speed well, everything is in order in online games, nothing jumps or lags, no problems have been identified. I advise you to purchase, everything in it suits me for such a price! Different pros: Good connection, automatically configured for Win 10, works properly Has some cons It does not come with a cord with a stand so that you can put it on the table.

Great product, best quality.

I have 2 of these. I bought the first one about two years ago (v.4), plugged it into the computer (win7, 32bit), included the disk from the kit, loaded everything and everything went like clockwork and is still running. The second one (v.6) was needed for the 2nd computer (win7, 64 bits), and remembering how easy everything went a couple of years ago, I bought the same one then. I plugged it into the computer, turned on autoload from the disk and . not a fig. Everything was installed, but the…

  • works and works
Cons
  • settings, recommendations for settings

Never buy this product.

I do not understand how the same device works without problems on Windows XP and does not work on Windows 7. I tried to install different drivers in different ways. I read the recommendations of the manufacturer, "advanced" users. Even when the driver from Realtek was finally installed, the adapter did not deign to work (error code 43 - "the device is disabled because it reported problems" or something like that). Time wasted unmeasuredly, and the result is zero. Of course, there may be some…

Pros
  • Installed on Windows XP
Cons
  • Can't install on Windows 7

Absolutely unusable product, not suitable for use.

Personally, I have version 3, I don’t know how about version 4. 1. After purchasing and connecting, it turned out that the drivers from the kit are not installed in any way. I had to download from the developer's site, 2. under 8 Windows only betta, and apparently after version 4 the developers do not take a steam bath for 4 firewood, there is no version 3. 3. it works EXTREMELY unstable on win 8, it’s great for browsing sites, torrents are quite for yourself, as soon as you give a load by file

Pros
  • At the time of purchase, not a bad price. 500r, in my opinion the limit for him.
Cons
  • In no case do not take it under windows 8. If you use Skype + online games + stream at the same time or frequently ate the list of servers, it crashes! Comes to life after 5 minutes. Under load falls! It just falls like that. At its discretion, it simply turns off the Internet, wifi catches, but there is no access to the network. Well, just poor reception power. wifi distributor is located directly opposite behind a wall of 15 cm of concrete, the signal is 1-2 sticks out of 4 . It is more stable to connect a phone as a receiver. Even on a 2022 laptop, the built-in wifi catches 4 out of 4 through 4 walls.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

I have version V4, when I bought it, it connected to the computer every 10 minutes, it disconnected, then turned off the w-fi built into the laptop, it got better, but it crashed every 2 hours and I had to re-enter the wi-fi password, the problem went away after removing the official utility from TP_LINK , left only the driver, now it never crashes) The download speed in the torrent before the purchase was 2 mb / s with tp-link became 6-10 mb / s

Pros
  • Good connection, high signal strength, high data rate
Cons
  • Stupid software (read below)

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

I bought it for a laptop, since its native receiver (Atheros AR9485WB-EG) does not receive the signal well enough (-60 / -66dBm), It became -53 / -57dBm with it. I expected it to be -50dBm maximum, or even less. Checked with the inSSIDer utility. It is not clear why the signal level is not even, from time to time it starts to jump sharply in a sawtooth to a level of as much as -60 / 65dBm. The native network card does not do this. So I put 4.

Pros
  • small, inexpensive adapter.
Cons
  • not very stable and not good enough (for me) reception.
